Keith Haring
This year, the 1st grade students started our Art School Project with the famous American artist Keith Haring. He was drawing at an early age, which he learned from his father. You can see his drawings in the subway and on the streets in New York City.

CLAUDE MONET
We continue to work on ART. This time the 5th graders learned about the life and art style of the Impressionist artist Claude Monet.

This year we are working on the topic ART at the school. In November, the 5th graders started to work on Van Gogh and his artwork. They learned about his life and his paintings, and they created their own artworks inspired by his art.

Galician Arts Day - Luís Seoane

LUIS SEOANE
Luís Seoane was an important Galician artist, writer and journalist. He was born in Buenos Aires in 1910 but came back to Galicia with his family in 1916. He died in A Coruña in 1979.

Travelling through Art: Jackson Pollock (USA)
This year our 5th graders created their works of art using the painting techniques of Jackson Pollock. Here you can see a video showing how he dripped, poured or splashed paint onto the canvas:

Travelling through Art - A French artist: MONET
This year our 2nd and 3rd graders learned about a French painter, Monet. We watched some videos and then they made their own Waterlilies painting. They are great artists!
